Job summary

Mevion Medical Systems is seeking a Field Service Engineer to maintain and operate the Proton Therapy System at customer sites, primarily at Huntsman Cancer Center in Salt Lake City, UT. You will troubleshoot, perform corrective and preventive maintenance, and communicate system status to customers and internal teams.

The role requires a BS in Engineering or Physics or equivalent technical experience, with strong electronics and control systems skills; experience with Salesforce CRM is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Engineering, Physics, or related field preferred; or 4-6+ years technical military experience.
• Experience with radiation therapy equipment is a plus.
• Strong electronics, electrical and mechanical abilities.
• Experience with computer interfaces, instrumentation and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate and troubleshoot the Proton Therapy System on-site with routine preventive maintenance.
• Provide on-site customer support and clearly communicate system status to customers and Mevion staff.
• Work with motion control, CT, X-ray and robotic systems at customer sites.
• Monitor treatments, document issues, and ensure equipment meets specifications and safety rules.
• Maintain inventory, tooling, and comply with RA/QA and FDA regulations.
• Escalate and document interventions and actions with adequate detail.
