The role blends hands-on commissioning with remote diagnostics and technical support to ensure peak performance and safety compliance. You will verify beam measurements, operate imaging and positioning equipment, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize system performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering required.
• Master’s degree in a relevant field preferred.
• Hands-on electro-mechanical troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with high-energy medical accelerators is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform system startup, calibration, and integration of subsystems (RF, water cooling, cryogenic).
• Manage beam extraction, size/shape, pointing, energy, and output checks.
• Operate imaging and patient positioning devices during commissioning.
• Demonstrate measurement proficiency with scintillators, ion chambers, and water tanks.
• Document system verification and collaborate with engineering teams.
