Job summary
Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute is seeking a Proteomics Specialist to support high-quality LC-MS/MS proteomics services for investigators and teams. You will operate and maintain LC-MS/MS instrumentation, perform sample prep, data processing, and deliver reports while developing technical expertise and contributing to method development in a collaborative core facility.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in proteomics, biochemistry, analytical chemistry, biology, or related field.
- Master's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with proteomics workflows and data analysis recommended.
Responsibilities
- Understand project objectives, timelines, and proteomics workflow needs.
- Prepare biological samples for proteomic analysis including digestion and cleanup.
- Operate LC systems and high-resolution mass spectrometers per SOPs.
- Perform LC-MS/MS data acquisition for discovery, quantitative, and targeted proteomics.
- Process and analyze proteomics data using listed software tools.
- Prepare clear project reports, figures, and presentations for Core users.
- Maintain accurate records of samples, parameters, and results.
