Job summary

Georgia Tech's Institute for Bioengineering and Bioscience (IBB) Core Facilities seeks a Laboratory Technician to support daily proteomics operations. You will perform sample preparation, LC-MS/MS calibration, data checks, and routine maintenance for internal and external research teams.

The role emphasizes instrument upkeep, QC runs, and collaboration with service engineers, with an expectation of up to two years’ related experience and a strong foundation in proteomics workflows.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or Vocational School Diploma.

Responsibilities

• Setup, operate and maintain LC-MS/MS instruments and related equipment.
• Order supplies and maintain records.
• Prepare laboratory media/equipment for demonstrations.
• Clean instruments, glassware and other lab equipment as needed.
• Prepare and process laboratory samples for tests.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
