Job summary

Georgia Tech in Atlanta seeks a Laboratory Technician to support operation and maintenance of academic and research instruments in assigned labs. You will perform analyses, prepare and process samples, maintain stock of supplies, and help with demonstrations while ensuring instrument cleanliness and safety.

Collaboration with faculty, staff, and students is expected. Experience with inventory management and basic computer applications is helpful; a high school diploma or equivalent is required;

Qualifications

• Requires working knowledge of lab instrumentation and equipment.
• Experience with inventory management and specialized software.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Setup, operate and maintain instruments and other equipment used in performing lab tests and experiments.
• Order supplies and materials as required; maintain records.
• Setup laboratory media/equipment for demonstrations.
• May clean instruments, glassware and other lab equipment.
• Prepare and process laboratory samples for use in assigned tests.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
