Job summary

Georgia Tech is seeking a Temporary Laboratory Technician to support operations and maintenance of an academic or research laboratory in Atlanta. You will perform analyses, set up and maintain equipment, and ensure supplies are stocked.

You will collaborate with faculty, staff, and students and help keep the lab running smoothly. Required is a High School diploma or equivalent and up to two years of related experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED Certificate or Vocational School Diploma.
• Up to two years of job related experience.
• Working knowledge of instrumentation and lab equipment; knowledge of inventory management and use of specialized computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Setup, operate and maintain instruments and other equipment used in lab tests and experiments.
• Order supplies and materials as required; maintain records.
• Setup laboratory media/equipment for demonstrations.
• May clean instruments, glassware and other lab equipment.
• Prepare and process laboratory samples for tests.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
