Job summary

U.S. Electrical Testing, LLC seeks an experienced field service technician to install, program, test, and maintain protective relaying and metering systems for transmission and distribution operations.

You will diagnose faults, interpret schematics, and coordinate repairs to ensure reliability and safety of electrical systems. The role requires 5+ years of electrical experience or equivalent degrees, willingness to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally, and valid U.S.

Qualifications

• Requires 5+ years of relevant electrical experience OR associate’s degree with 4+ years OR bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of experience
• Possess a valid/active U.S. Work Authorization
• NETA/NICET certification preferred or equivalent hands-on experience

Responsibilities

• Programs, installs and maintains protective relaying and metering; performs electrical tests and repairs on in-service relays
• Uses test equipment in energized rooms, vaults, and substations
• Interprets schematics and substation drawings; conducts commissioning and testing
• Performs routine maintenance and testing of relays, breakers, transformers, and switchgear
• Coordinates testing and repairs with other departments; participates in emergency callouts
• Maintains detailed test reports and documentation for client review
