Job summary

U.S. Electrical Testing seeks a technically skilled professional to install, test, and maintain protective relaying and metering systems for transmission and distribution networks. You will interpret schematics, coordinate repairs, and ensure reliability and safety in energized environments.

The role requires up to 50% travel, strong discipline with test equipment, and adherence to safety standards. A 4+ year electrical background or equivalent degree is expected, with relevant certifications

Qualifications

• 4+ years of electrical experience or an associate’s degree with 2+ years experience or a bachelor’s degree with 1+ year experience.
• U.S. work authorization required.
• NETA/NICET (preferred) or equivalent hands-on experience in electrical testing.

Responsibilities

• Programs, installs and maintains protective relaying and metering equipment in test environments.
• Tests, evaluates, and troubleshoots relaying and metering systems across distribution assets.
• Interprets electrical diagrams, wiring schematics and substation drawings.
• Coordinates testing and repairs with other departments and teams.
• Performs maintenance testing and participates in emergency call outs.
• Ensures safety protocols and PPE compliance during field operations.
