Job summary

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) is seeking a Protection Engineer to join the Engineering Services team in King of Prussia, PA. The role focuses on protecting and controlling critical electrical infrastructure through relay protection and coordination, and power system optimization.

Responsibilities include design, testing, implementation, and customer training for automation and protection systems, with travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• 2+ years relevant experience with electric power systems.
• Knowledge of power system protection and control, integration/automation, and communications.
• Working knowledge of power system design, studies and protective relay applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, test, implement and validate protection and control schemes for power systems.
• Train and assist customers with design, configuration and commissioning of automation/protection systems.
• Prepare design documents, reports and test deliverables.
• Support SEL values and World Class Manufacturing Principles.
