Job summary

Electric Power Systems (EPS) is seeking a Relay Technician II to perform testing, commissioning, and maintenance of protection and control systems. This mid-level role requires a strong safety focus and increasing independence under the guidance of engineers.

You will develop expertise in relay protection schemes, assist with testing and documentation, and communicate clearly with clients and project teams on testing results and commissioning plans.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience installing, maintaining, testing and repairing protective relays in transmission, generation or distribution substations.
• Knowledge of relay test software and protective relay operation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety policies and participate in hazard mitigation.
• Perform relay testing with supervision and progress toward independence.
• Execute end-to-end testing and validate protection system operation.
• Create detailed test reports, commissioning records and calibration documentation.
• Coordinate with engineers and project teams to ensure alignment and efficiency.
