Job summary

POWERX Edge seeks a senior P&C Lead Test Engineer to direct testing, commissioning, validation, and integration of protection and control systems across transmission, distribution, and generation substations.

You will mentor Test Engineers, coordinate field execution with PM, engineering, construction, and client operations, and ensure compliance with utility standards and POWERX commissioning philosophy.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in high-voltage Protection & Control testing and commissioning.
• Experience with relay platforms such as SEL, GE, ABB, Siemens, Westinghouse, or equivalent.
• Experience commissioning substations up to 765kV is preferred.
• Ability to read one-lines, schematics, wiring diagrams, and relay settings files.

Responsibilities

• Lead testing, commissioning, validation, and operational integration of protection and control systems across transmission, distribution, and generation substations.
• Develop test plans, isolation plans, energization plans, and commissioning procedures.
• Mentor developing Test Engineers and lead field teams.
• Ensure testing aligns with utility standards, NETA practices, and IEEE guidance.
