Job summary

ECNS Global Consultants, PLLC is seeking Protection & Control Engineers I, II, III to design, implement, test and maintain protection and control systems for electrical power networks. You will work on relay protection, coordination and power system analysis to enhance reliability and protect critical infrastructure.

The role involves applying IEEE/ANSI/NERC standards, and you may travel for project needs while working in a primarily remote setting with flexible field engagements.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS/MS in electrical engineering.
• 1–3 years of related experience for Engineer I; 3+ years for II; 7+ years for III.
• FE certification preferred; PE license preferred but not required.
• Experience with protection and control systems for utility or industrial power systems.
• Knowledge of IEEE, IEC, ANSI, NESC and related standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform protection and control engineering activities: relay settings, coordination studies, fault analysis and power system studies.
• Develop and maintain engineering calculations, drawings, reports, relay settings files and documentation.
• Design, configure, test and troubleshoot protective relays, SCADA systems, RTUs and communications networks.
• Support or lead commissioning, startup, FAT/SAT, outage support and field implementation.
• Coordinate with project teams, operations, contractors, vendors and clients to deliver engineering solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship for junior engineers as III level.
