Job summary

Hanger, Inc. to hire a Prosthetist/Orthotist for its Poplar Bluff clinic to deliver orthotic and prosthetic care with clinical independence and team support. You will assess patients, design, fit and adjust devices, and document care in a collaborative environment.

Role emphasizes growing in a developing market, with opportunities to expand into prosthetics as demand increases, while maintaining high standards of patient outcomes and service.

Qualifications

• Board certification in Prosthetics and/or Orthotics from the ABC or BOC, or board-eligibility.
• Bachelor's degree in prosthetics and/or orthotics (or foreign equivalent) and ABC board-eligibility.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record per policy; licensure may be required by state.
• State licensure where required to practice prosthetics/orthotics.
• May be considered for candidates who are not certified but have 5+ years of supervised experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians to evaluate patient needs and options for prosthetic/orthotic care.
• Examine patient conditions relating to disease and functional loss.
• Design prosthetic/orthotic devices and select appropriate materials.
• Perform fitting, static and dynamic alignments, and follow-up with patients.
• Provide patient education, document clinical notes, and coordinate care with staff.
