Job summary

Hanger Clinic in St. Louis is seeking a Prosthetist/Orthotist to join a leading provider of orthotic and prosthetic services. You will assess patient needs, design and fit prosthetic devices, collaborate with physicians, and educate patients on device use to restore mobility and independence.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, engage in ongoing learning, and support community outreach while delivering high-quality patient care in a busy clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Current board certification in Prosthetics and/or Orthotics from the ABC or BOC.
• Bachelor's degree in prosthetics and/or orthotics with ABC Board-Eligibility.
• Valid driver’s license and drive ability; state licensure may be required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians to evaluate need for prosthetic/orthotic services and recommend options.
• Assess patient needs related to disease and functional loss.
• Design prosthetic/orthotic devices and select materials; take cast measurements and model modifications.
• Perform fittings including static and dynamic alignments and ensure proper fit and efficacy.
• Provide patient training on use of devices and follow-up with patients and physicians.
• Document clinical notes and participate in reimbursement activities; mentor junior staff as needed.
