Job summary

Hanger, Inc. seeks a Prosthetist/Orthotist for our Stockton, CA clinic to deliver high-quality prosthetic and orthotic care for adults and children. You’ll work with an experienced fitter on routine volume, while focusing on advanced interventions and potential pediatric expansion.

The role focuses on hospital-based patient care without evening or weekend on-call, with strong clinical support and access to training across Hanger’s nationwide network.

Qualifications

• Current ABC or BOC certification in Prosthetics and/or Orthotics (or eligibility)
• Valid driver’s license and driving record meet policy standards
• Ability to obtain and maintain state licensure where required
• Open to candidates certified in one discipline who wish to see patients in the other while completing residency, or those with 5+ years of un-certified experience under supervision

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians to evaluate patient need for prosthetic/orthotic services and discuss treatment options
• Examine and evaluate patient needs related to disease and functional loss
• Design prosthetic/orthotic devices and select materials, take casts, and plan layouts
• Perform fittings with static and dynamic alignments and ensure proper fit and efficacy
• Instruct patients in the use of devices and provide follow-up with patients and physicians
• Provide in-service training to physicians and allied health professionals
• Maintain detailed clinical notes and assist with reimbursement activities
• Meet with physicians and referral sources to review capabilities and develop relationships
• Assist with planning strategies to meet revenue targets and support business growth
