Job summary

Hanger, Inc. seeks a Prosthetist and/or Orthotist to join our Elmira, NY clinic. You will assess patients, design and fit prosthetic and orthotic devices, and work with a team to deliver high-quality patient care.

The role requires board certification in Prosthetics and/or Orthotics (ABC/BOC) or eligibility, a relevant degree, and a valid driver’s license. Expect collaboration with physicians, technicians, and other clinicians to ensure optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current board certification in Prosthetics and/or Orthotics from the ABC or BOC, or Board-Eligibility.
• A baccalaureate degree in prosthetics and/or orthotics or foreign equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record within policy.
• Ability to obtain and maintain state licensure where required.
• May be open to candidates not certified but with 5 years of demonstrated experience under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians to evaluate a patient’s need for prosthetic and/or orthotic services and recommend options.
• Take casts, measurements, and design or adjust devices for proper fit and function.
• Provide detailed clinical notes and educate patients and staff on device use and care.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary team to ensure quality patient care and adherence to regulations.
