Job summary

Hanger, Inc. in Lincoln, Nebraska seeks a Prosthetist and/or Orthotist to join a collaborative care team. The role involves evaluating patients, designing and fitting prosthetic and orthotic devices, and coordinating with physicians and therapists to achieve optimal outcomes.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, including access to labs and support staff, to deliver comprehensive care and improve mobility for both adult and pediatric patients.

Qualifications

• Current ABC or BOC certification in Prosthetics and/or Orthotics, or eligibility.
• Bachelor's degree in prosthetics and/or orthotics or foreign equivalent with ABC eligibility.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record per policy.
• State licensure may be required where applicable.
• Candidates with residency or multi-discipline certification are considered.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians to evaluate prosthetic and/or orthotic needs and options.
• Examine and evaluate patient needs related to disease and functional loss.
• Design and fabricate prosthetic and/or orthotic devices to meet patient goals.
• Take casts, measurements, and perform fittings with static and dynamic alignment.
• Provide follow-up care, patient education, and care-plan documentation.
