Roger Williams University in Bristol, RI seeks a Director of Prospect Management to lead the prospect research program and implement a moves management system. Reporting to the AVP of Institutional Advancement, the role supports the President's prospect research and fundraising strategy.

The position oversees prospect research, operations, budget, and analytics, advancing cultivation and solicitation efforts with AI-enhanced processes and robust data in Raiser's Edge.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in related field.
• Minimum of seven years in a research or research-related environment.
• Previous development experience and/or a background in a non-profit or educational institution.
• Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
• Advanced computer hardware and software skills including MS Office Suite.
• Proficient at scheduling/organizing and presenting data.
• Proven experience with spreadsheets, databases, and business applications.
• Strong research and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in locating and synthesizing material from multiple sources.
• Ability to interpret, analyze and summarize complex biographical, business and financial data.

Responsabilidades

• Identify, evaluate and recommend current and potential major gift prospects and assess their ability to financially support the University.
• Provide research and analysis of biographical, philanthropic, professional and financial information of donors and prospects.
• Prepare written profiles, rating memos, event bios and qualified lists to support the cultivation of individuals
• Perform quantitative analysis to determine capacity ratings based on financial data to qualify prospects.
• Track prospects and donors through monitoring daily news, online alerts, and internal information.
• Track important information on key prospects (such as news and insider stock holdings) and provide this pertinent information to the appropriate relationship manager.
• Identify donor's associates and acquaintances through relationship mapping to facilitate institutional involvement.
• Coordinate all prospect research activities for Advancement.
• Develop new systems to convert manual processes.
• Implement the use of AI in the prospect research process to facilitate the development of research products
• Enhance understanding of prospect research by Advancement staff through communication and training.
• Represent prospect research best practices at meetings and communicate research techniques and procedures.
• Implement processes and procedures to enhance prospect research data collection and analysis in the CRM, Raiser's Edge
• Work with the AVP of Operations for Institutional Advancement to organize Pipeline meetings ensuring front-line fundraisers have robust portfolios.
• Collaborate with front-line fundraisers and other staff during Pipeline meetings to develop cultivation and solicitation strategies and facilitate moves management.
• Identify new prospects for major gifts initiatives through proactive research and present findings at strategy meetings.
