Job summary

Simmons University Advancement is seeking an analytical, organized, and collaborative Assistant Director of Prospect Research and Management. As a key member of the Advancement team, you will conduct prospect research and analysis and serve as the operational coordinator for the University’s prospect management program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 1–3 years of prospect research/advancement services experience.
• Strong research, analytical, writing, and CRM skills.
• Proficiency with research tools like iWave, LexisNexis, Foundation Directory, and LinkedIn.

Responsibilities

• Conduct proactive and responsive prospect research using multiple sources.
• Prepare profiles, briefings, and research summaries for fundraisers.
• Coordinate delivery of research findings to prospect managers.
• Maintain and update prospect records in the donor database.
• Track pipeline activity and support moves management.
• Assist with portfolio reviews and reporting.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute research to strategy discussions.
