Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Mechanical Engineer Specialist in Canoga Park, CA to join our propulsion systems design team. You will drive development of high-pressure, extreme-temperature hardware including injectors, thrust chambers, tanks, manifolds, and piping, under supervision.

You will apply solid engineering fundamentals, create CAD models in Creo, perform tolerance studies, and prepare ASME GD&T drawings while coordinating with cross-functional teams to improve producibility and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher with relevant engineering experience.
• Graduate degree with related experience (2+ years).
• In lieu of a degree, 8+ years of related experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Develop concepts for mechanical systems to meet propulsion requirements and perform preliminary design and packaging.
• Create components and higher-level systems for high-pressure, extreme-environment applications; perform tolerance studies.
• Prepare drawings with GD&T per ASME Y14.5 and release via Windchill PLM.
• Contribute to technical presentations and engineering reports; support technical decision making.
• Participate in development and qualification testing, including test integration hardware and data reduction.
• Coordinate with manufacturing and quality to ensure producibility and inspectability.
