Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Canoga Park, CA is seeking a Sr. Associate, Project Engineer to support multiple phases of propulsion programs. The role involves collaboration across engineering, operations, quality and supply chain to ensure successful component completion.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s with experience or graduate degree, with potential for extended hours and up to 10% travel. A US Secret Security Clearance may be required during the process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years related engineering experience or graduate degree with 0-2 years experience.
• In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, determine approaches to objectives using engineering principles.
• Develop and fabricate support of rocket engine components; translate concepts through life cycle.
• Interface with project teams to coordinate technical, schedule and cost solutions.
• Analyze and verify product design for adequacy and reliability; support investigations.
• Develop specifications, trade studies, design concepts and test plans.
• Up to 10% travel to suppliers and production sites.
• May require extended hours to meet objectives.
• Ability to obtain US Secret Security Clearance.
