Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Propulsion Manufacturing Engineer in Huntsville to translate engineering intent into scalable propulsion hardware production. You will support subassembly and final assembly, develop detailed MWIs, and drive DFMA improvements while coordinating with design, test, and operations teams from manufacturing facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university.
• 0–3 years = Level 1 Manufacturing Engineer; 3+ years = Level 2; 5+ years = Level 3; 8+ years = Senior.
• Experience creating English-language work instructions; ability to work B-Shift with extended hours if required.

Responsibilities

• Translate engineering intent into propulsion hardware production steps (manifolds, pressure panels, modules).
• Support propulsion subassembly and final assembly/integration on the manufacturing floor.
• Develop manufacturing work instructions (MWIs) for receiving, fabrication, assembly, test, and refurbishment.
• Dispositions NCRs/DRs and implements CAPA through MRB.
• Lead DFMA efforts across propulsion life cycle and ensure alignment with AS9100/ISO9001 requirements.
