Job summary

Relativity Space in Long Beach is seeking a Propulsion Manufacturing Engineer II for Combustion Devices to oversee development and production hardware.

You will develop processes, drive manufacturing ramp, and collaborate with machine shop, additive manufacturing, and Supply Chain to ensure manufacturability and scalable production. The role emphasizes fast-paced execution and continuous improvement within a cutting-edge aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience building and testing hardware in a manufacturing environment.
• Extensive experience authoring work instructions and/or process procedures for complex assemblies.
• Experience interfacing with design engineering, manufacturing, and production personnel in a production environment.
• Experience executing and driving projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to understand and effectively advocate for Design for Manufacturing principles.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end manufacturing for the development and production of Combustion Device hardware.
• Develop initial processes required to build the hardware, implement into production, and drive process improvements to enable rapid production ramp.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders in machine shop, additive, and external manufacturing to drive manufacturability and scalability.
• Ensure engine delivery meets program targets, drive continuous improvement, new product development, and strategy for Combustion Device manufacturing.
