Job summary

Relativity Space in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Propulsion Integration & Test Engineer II for First Shift to help own AeonR engine assembly and drive production improvements. The role includes developing build processes, authoring test procedures, and collaborating across teams to deliver engines on schedule.

The position emphasizes readiness for high-rate production, interface with suppliers, and advancing additive manufacturing techniques within a cutting-edge aerospace program.

Qualifications

  • Degree in engineering or related technical field and 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to write detailed work instructions and process plans.
  • Ability to investigate, resolve and screen hardware non-conformances.
  • Ability to work with and train technicians.
  • Ability to work with vendors to get parts made quickly and reliably.
  • Familiarity with Additive Manufacturing, Subtractive Manufacturing and precision inspection techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Own the AeonR integrated assembly from design release to integration to shipment.
  • Develop processes and specs to impact production rate of AeonR engines.
  • Support production by resolving build issues and implementing technician feedback.
  • Support work center development considering assembly operations, tooling and capital equipment requirements.
  • Author test procedures and act as test conductor to verify hardware health and build integrity.
  • Help define and pilot ERP, MES, and QMS solutions for high-quality, efficient vehicle manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with engineers across sites to meet targets.
