Job summary

Rocket Lab is seeking a Propulsion Intern based in Long Beach, California. The role supports the Archimedes engine development for the Neutron launch vehicle and works with multiple teams across high-level engine architecture and subsystem details.

You will collaborate with mentors to apply engineering concepts, attend frequent reviews, and participate in technical talks and networking events with other interns and staff.

Qualifications

• 3+ months of applied engineering experience (internship, lab or project).
• GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Enrollment in a bachelor’s, master’s or doctorate in Aerospace/Aeronautical/Astronautical or Mechanical engineering with at least one semester remaining.

Responsibilities

• Support development and operation of the Archimedes engine for Neutron.
• Collaborate with Neutron teams, Stennis testing, and vehicle operations.
• Attend frequent 1:1 mentoring sessions and provide progress updates.
