Job summary

Rocket Lab, based in Long Beach, California, is seeking a Propulsion Intern to support the Archimedes engine development for the Neutron launcher. You will collaborate across engine, Stennis test, and vehicle operations teams.

You will work under a mentor, gain hands-on experience, and participate in engineering challenges, with a focus on learning and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a bachelor’s, master’s or doctorate degree program in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Astronautical, or Mechanical engineering and have at least one semester remaining post internship.
• GPA of 3.0 or above.
• 3+ months of applied engineering experience (internship, lab, or projects) applicable.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with your mentor and colleagues to apply knowledge and grow technically and professionally.
• Join a fast-paced group to apply engineering concepts to real challenges.
• Attend frequent 1:1’s with mentors and supervisors for success and learning with progress updates.
• Participate in tech talks and network with other interns and employees.
