Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Propulsion Engineering Manager 2 to lead a team of propulsion engineers at the Allegany Ballistics Laboratory in Rocket Center, WV. This on-site role oversees design, development, and transition to production of cutting-edge propulsion systems while guiding multiple programs and ensuring compliance with policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent, with 10 years of experience, or a STEM Master's with 8+ years.
• Proven leadership of a team on large or challenging propulsion projects.
• Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee engineering work across multiple programs.
• Ensure organizational and statutory policies and practices are adhered to.
• Establish and maintain efficient and effective teams.
• Mentor and coach engineers to advance technical and professional skills.
• Evaluate individual performance and provide feedback through periodic reviews.
• Serve as a voting member on design and testing engineering review boards.
• Ensure the manpower and staffing needs of multiple programs are satisfied.
