Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Sector seeks a Propulsion Engineering Manager – Level 2 to lead an Aerothermal analysis team of 10–12 engineers across Promontory and Bacchus campuses. The role combines people leadership with hands-on technical contribution in solid rocket motor design, analysis, and fabrication.

You will drive staffing, plan work, and coordinate with program leaders while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Qualifications

8+ years of professional experience in propulsion or related engineering fields.
Experience in thermal and CFD analysis for solid rocket motors is preferred.
Ability to lead, mentor, and coordinate across programs and teams.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of Thermal and CFD analysts across multiple sites.
Plan and manage work scope with Project Engineers and Program Managers.
Contribute technically in aerothermal analyses and design tasks.
Drive team performance, staffing, and workload balance across programs.
Develop people through coaching, training, and career planning.
Establish and uphold design and analysis standards for safety and quality.
Collaborate with Loaded Motor and other engineering functions on integrated solutions.
