Job summary

AET Federal Inc. is seeking a Proposal Coordinator/Writer to own the end-to-end proposal process for federal and commercial solicitations. This on-site role in Tysons, VA focuses on writing, coordination, compliance, and submission support within a small team.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in proposals or GovCon, with strong writing, editing, and organizational skills. Proficiency in MS Office and the ability to work closely with leadership and SMEs is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher required.
• 3+ years of proposal, GovCon, government contracting, or related experience.
• Knowledge of proposal and government contract verbiage, processes, and BD methodology.
• Experience writing government proposals: RFI, RFP, RFQ.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and proofreading.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, small team.
• Must be able to commute and work on-site at AET Federal's Tysons, VA location.

Responsibilities

• Draft, edit, and refine proposal content across technical, management, and corporate sections.
• Track proposal schedules, milestones, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Coordinate inputs from internal contributors and SMEs for timely, compliant submissions.
• Develop and maintain compliance matrices and checklists.
• Organize proposal files, templates, and maintain version control.
• Ensure proposals meet formatting, page limits, and submission requirements.
• Identify compliance gaps and risks and communicate with leadership.
• Assist in developing proposal templates and content libraries.
• Communicate status, priorities, and risks with leadership.
• Prepare final draft packages and RFI/RFP/RFQ responses.
• Produce capability statements and past performance materials.
