Job summary

MicroHealth LLC is seeking a full-time Proposal Manager (with writing experience) to join our growing proposal team at our Vienna, VA headquarters. The role requires on-site presence at least three days per week in a hybrid work model.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional writing and editing skills, with government proposal production experience and DoD/VA contracting familiarity. You will lead compliance, content development, and responsible for timely submissions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Writing, Communications, Business Administration or related field.
• 5+ years with government proposal development including IDIQs, RFQs, and RFPs.
• Experience submitting proposals on various submission systems (e.g. Symphony).
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint; SharePoint is a plus.
• Ability to write about technical concepts including IT infrastructure, software management and cloud services.
• Ability to interpret and produce compliant responses to customer requests.
• Ability to manage deadlines and shifting priorities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Determine the proposal concept by identifying opportunities and needs.
• Study RFPs and create compliance matrices addressing customer requirements.
• Develop proposals with customer-focused content, including executive summaries and past performance.
• Participate in color reviews and provide content feedback.
• Revise drafts for clarity, compliance, and concision.
• Prepare graphics: figures, tables, and hypertext.
• Maintain past performance and boilerplate libraries to improve production.
