Xcelerate Solutions in McLean, VA is seeking a Proposal Manager to lead the full lifecycle of federal proposals, reporting to the VP of Proposal Operations. You will coordinate writers, SMEs, and partners to ensure compliant, compelling responses for RFPs, RFIs, and RFQ processes.

The role emphasizes strong technical writing, copyediting, desktop publishing, and schedule management, with a hybrid work arrangement and the ability to obtain necessary clearances.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in journalism or related field preferred.
• 3 years of federal proposal full cycle development and management experience.
• 5 years of proposal development experience.
• Strong technical writing and copyediting experience.
• Familiarity with the Shipley Proposal Process.
• Proven experience with Microsoft Office suite (MS Word and PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret Federal RFPs, RFIs, BPA's, RFQs, and IDIQs.
• Develop proposal materials including outline, compliance matrix, and writing plans.
• Provide writing support, editing, and desktop publishing.
• Perform copyediting for grammar, clarity, and style.
• Lead proposal team reviews and ensure compliant responses.
• Coordinate schedule and resources for all proposal activities.
• Lead in win themes and discriminators development.
• Collaborate with BD, PMs, and client personnel for direction.
