Job summary

Ingersoll Rand’s Hydro Prokav Pumps Coimbatore Unit is seeking a Projects & Proposal Engineer to lead techno-commercial offers and tender responses. You will support the sales team, coordinate with engineering and procurement, and manage tender documentation and client communications.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in proposal and tendering for industrial equipment, strong negotiation skills, and proficiency with SAP and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Mechanical.
• 5+ years of proposal and tendering experience in industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Review customer enquiries to ensure timely quotations and tenders.
• Prepare and submit techno-commercial proposals per tender requirements.
• Maintain and update customer and client contact databases.
• Visit customers for technical discussions and negotiations.
• Monitor orders and ensure timely submission and post-order documentation.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Production, Quality and Logistics.
• Track order progress and support timely delivery of products and services.
• Follow up with customers and internal stakeholders to expedite approvals.
• Maintain records of proposals, tenders, orders and project documentation.

Job Summary

The Projects & Proposal Engineer is responsible for monitoring the preparation and timely submission of techno-commercial offers, tenders, and proposals while providing continuous support to the sales team.

Responsibilities

• Review and monitor customer enquiries to ensure timely preparation and submission of quotations, bids, and online/offline tenders.
• Prepare and submit techno-commercial proposals in compliance with customer specifications and tender requirements.
• Maintain and update customer and client contact databases.
• Visit customers for technical discussions, clarification meetings, and techno-commercial negotiations.
• Monitor project orders and ensure timely submission, resubmission, and approval of post-order documents.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to obtain quotations, technical information, and post-order documentation.
• Liaise with internal departments such as Engineering, Procurement, Production, Quality, and Logistics to ensure smooth project execution.
• Track order progress and support timely delivery of products and services to customers.
• Follow up with customers and internal stakeholders to expedite approvals and resolve technical or commercial issues.
• Maintain records of proposals, tenders, orders, and project documentation for future reference and audits.
• Support sales and business development activities to achieve organizational growth targets.

Basic Qualifications

• Technical qualification: Engineering degree in Mechanical.
• 5+ years of experience in proposal and tendering in industrial equipment, ideally with experience Pumps or similar fluid handling equipment.
