Job summary

KINEKTA is seeking a Proposal Engineer to support the development of technical and commercial solutions for industrial energy and power-generation projects. You will work closely with sales, engineering and delivery teams to develop customer-specific proposals that balance technical requirements, project costs and commercial objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in proposal engineering or technical sales within industrial/process engineering.
• Experience using AutoCAD and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Excellent communication and teamwork with customers, sales, engineers and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Work with the sales team to understand customer requirements and respond to RFQs.
• Gather technical information and assess project requirements, including site visits.
• Coordinate with internal engineering teams to identify suitable technical solutions.
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals, including equipment specs and cost estimates.
• Obtain supplier quotations and evaluate equipment and material needs.
• Support sales discussions by explaining technical and commercial benefits.
• Develop project budgets and hand over information to project management after contracts are awarded.
• Identify potential new suppliers and maintain supplier relationships.
• Improve internal proposal processes, templates and technical documentation.

We are looking for a Proposal Engineer to support the development of technical and commercial solutions for industrial energy and power-generation projects. Working closely with sales, engineering, project delivery teams and external suppliers, you will help develop customer-specific proposals that balance technical requirements, project costs and commercial objectives. This role would suit an engineer / graduate engineer who enjoys combining technical problem-solving with commercial decision-making and customer interaction.

Key responsibilities

• Work with the sales team to understand customer requirements and respond to requests for quotations.
• Gather technical information and assess project requirements, including site visits where needed.
• Coordinate with internal engineering teams to identify suitable technical solutions.
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals, including equipment specifications, cost estimates, drawings and supporting documentation.
• Obtain supplier quotations and evaluate equipment and material requirements.
• Support sales discussions and customer negotiations by explaining the technical and commercial benefits of proposed solutions.
• Develop project budgets and transfer relevant information to project management teams once contracts are awarded.
• Identify potential new suppliers and maintain supplier relationships.
• Improve internal proposal processes, templates and technical documentation.

What we're looking for

• A bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Approximately 2–5 years of experience in proposal engineering, technical sales engineering or a similar role within industrial or process engineering.
• Experience using AutoCAD or comparable CAD software, including interpreting and preparing engineering drawings.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• The ability to work effectively with customers, sales teams, engineers and suppliers.
