Job summary

UES in Naples, FL is seeking a Proposal Specialist II to develop, edit, and produce high-quality proposals and qualifications in response to client requests (RFPs, RFQs, RFIs).

You will work with the Proposal Manager, business development, and technical teams to craft narratives that reflect the firm’s value and expertise.

Requires 4+ years of proposal writing, strong editing skills, and proficiency with Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Office; occasional travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, Business, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in proposal writing or coordination within the A/E/C, environmental, engineering, or professional services industries.
• Demonstrated ability to develop persuasive, technically accurate, and well-organized proposal content.
• Proficiency with Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Office; CRM/proposal tracking experience is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across remote and distributed teams.
• Experience interpreting and responding to public and private sector procurement documents (RFPs, RFQs, RFIs).
• Strong organization skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of complex or multi-volume proposals and qualifications packages, working with project teams and the Proposal Manager.
• Write, edit, refine content across proposal sections—resumes, project sheets, executive summaries, narratives—ensuring clarity and brand alignment.
• Translate technical input into clear, compelling content for diverse client audiences.
• Interpret RFP/RFQ requirements and develop outlines, compliance matrices, and production schedules.
• Contribute to proposal strategy, including win themes and tailored messaging.
• Review and edit draft content from junior team members for quality and consistency.
