Job summary

Galbreath Costner, LLC is seeking a Title Reviewer to assess and mitigate risks in property titles. You will review contracts, deeds, and records to ensure clear ownership and identify issues affecting real estate transactions.

Remote, in-office, or hybrid work arrangements are possible based on management direction. Key duties include interpreting legal documents, preparing title commitments, reviewing public records, and liaising with escrow officers, attorneys, and title insurers to secure

Qualifications

Strong understanding of real estate, mortgage lending, and property law.
Familiarity with deeds, liens, and related legal concepts.
Knowledge of underwriting principles.

Responsibilities

Review and interpret contracts, deeds, surveys, and easements to extract information for the title report.
Identify discrepancies or irregularities that may affect the title.
Prepare preliminary opinions/Title Commitments based on examinations and summaries.
Review public records, deeds, mortgages, tax bills, plats, and other documents.
Enter relevant data into production software and validate entries.
Coordinate with title insurers and underwriters to address requirements for policy issuance.
Assist in resolving title issues, liens, encumbrances, or restrictions to ensure a clear title.
Communicate updates with internal teams, escrow officers, attorneys, and stakeholders.
Collaborate with escrow officers, real estate attorneys, and other professionals involved in transactions.
Maintain organized records of all transactions and documents.
