Job summary

Union County is seeking an Audit Supervisor to oversee the business personal property tax program. You will manage the annual listing process, coordinate audits, and oversee data management to ensure accurate reporting and compliant taxation.

You will lead property adjustments, discoveries, and releases while directing outreach to educate taxpayers and collaborate with internal teams and external partners to support efficient tax administration operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, or similar field.
• Six (6) years of experience in accounting, auditing, or similar field with supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the business personal property tax program for accurate reporting and compliance.
• Manage annual listing process and coordinate audit activities.
• Oversee data management and ensure integrity across systems.
• Review property adjustments (discoveries/releases) for proper taxation.
• Lead canvassing and outreach to educate taxpayers and ensure compliance.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external partners for efficient tax administration.
