Job summary

Southern Land Company seeks a full-time Assistant Service Manager for Fort Worth, TX. You’ll manage maintenance, safety, and resident services in a luxury multi-family setting, overseeing staff and capital projects while ensuring quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities include budgeting support, safety compliance, and coordinating emergency coverage. Strong HVAC, plumbing and project management skills are required, with excellent communication and organizational abilities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of practical maintenance experience
• Experience managing a service team
• EPA certification required for A/C units and related operations
• Knowledge of OSHA requirements
• Ability to lift 25 lbs regularly and 50 lbs occasionally

Responsibilities

• Maintain resident request system and accurate records for work orders and maintenance
• Monitor and correct unsafe conditions and perform repairs
• Diagnose and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other systems
• Assist Service Manager with budgeted operations and capital expenditures
• Oversee safety policies and OSHA compliance
• Ensure 24-hour emergency coverage and on-call rotation
• Supervise staff, vendors and contractors
