Job summary

Travelers Insurance Company is seeking a Risk Control Associate Specialist, Property to support discipline and provide specialized technical solutions for lower complexity risks. You will regularly consult with customers onsite or remotely to assess exposures and advise on loss controls, while assisting underwriting and claims processes.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in engineering/science, have 3+ years in engineering or fire protection, and excel at communicating complex concepts clearly

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a science or engineering discipline.
• Three or more years of experience in engineering or fire protection.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a field presence with customers, onsite or virtually, 20–50% of the time.
• Travel to customer sites as needed, including long-distance and multi-night trips.
• Conduct risk evaluations, identify exposures and loss control opportunities, and support underwriting.
• Educate customers on risk management and influence adoption of recommended changes.
• Help develop training programs for field consultants based on emerging issues and loss trends.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Risk Control team.
