Job summary

Travelers is seeking a Risk Control Associate Specialist, Property in Walnut Creek, CA to support risk engineering for our clients. You will consult onsite with customers, assist underwriting and claims, and help deliver technical risk solutions to lower complexity risks.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in engineering or a science discipline and 3+ years in engineering or fire protection, with strong communication and organizational skills to translate complex concepts for audiences

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, or a science discipline.
• Verbal and written communication skills to simplify complex technical information.
• Organizational and time management skills to manage priorities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a consistent field presence with customers (20%-50%), onsite or virtual.
• Travel to customers may entail long-distance, overnight travel.
• Assist and conduct risk evaluations, identifying exposures and loss controls.
• Share findings with Underwriting to support effective risk pricing.
• Educate customers on risk management and encourage adoption of changes.
• Support development of training programs for field consultants.
