Job summary

AXA XL, the P&C and specialty risk division of AXA, seeks a qualified or near-qualified actuary to drive pricing analytics and portfolio management for NA programs. You will collaborate across Underwriting, Reserving, and Capital Modelling to support profitability and regulatory compliance.

The role emphasizes strong communication, data-driven insights, and the ability to work in a global team with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

Qualification level – Nearly or recently qualified actuary.
Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Applied Math, Statistics, or related field.
Significant experience in Excel.
General Pricing knowledge across product lines.
Understanding of reserving methodologies and assumptions.
Outstanding communication skills.

Responsibilities

Help ensure AXA XL remains a leader in programs due diligence and portfolio management.
Support delivery of core tasks: planning, rate monitoring, profitability assessment, and pricing metrics.
Engage with Underwriting, Reserving and Capital Modelling; communicate with program partners.
Keep pricing current with regulatory and technological changes affecting pricing.
Promote consistency in pricing and portfolio analysis across NA programs.
Support NA program underwriters with regular reporting and ad-hoc analysis.
Assist Head of Pricing, NA programs by providing data-driven insights.
Ensure compliance of pricing guidelines with the team.
Report on key metrics including rate changes and RRL.
