Job summary

Avenue5 Residential is seeking an Assistant Property Manager in Washington to support the property manager in daily operations, ensure resident satisfaction, manage leasing and reporting, and coordinate maintenance. The role emphasizes strong organization, financial discipline, and teamwork within a fast-paced environment.

You will handle rent collection, tenant communications, move-ins/outs, and lease renewals while upholding safety standards and company policies.

Qualifications

• Two to three years of property management experience.
• Knowledge of resident rental lifecycle activities.
• Real estate license preferred or may be required in some locations.
• Prior experience with property management software (e.g., Yardi Voyager) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the property manager in day-to-day operations of the property.
• Maintain accounts receivable including rent collection and rent rolls.
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly financial and leasing reports.
• Process evictions and lease renewals as needed.
• Inspect buildings and coordinate maintenance activities.
• Train staff on leasing, marketing and office operations.
• Handle resident relations and problem resolution.
