Job summary

Arcan Capital seeks a Property Operations Specialist to support asset management and onsite operations with precise, timely data and actionable reporting. This role connects corporate strategy with property performance, emphasizing disciplined processes and scalable workflows across the portfolio.

You will manage AP/AR workflows, prepare weekly and monthly reports, monitor performance metrics, and support acquisitions and ad hoc requests while touring properties to validate data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, Business Analytics, or related field preferred.
• Prior experience in property operations, asset management support, accounting, or financial reporting strongly preferred.
• Ability to handle sensitive financial and operational information with discretion and professionalism.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel periodically.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Support AP/AR workflows, including invoice review, deposits, ledger corrections, utilities processing, write-offs, and maintaining resident account accuracy.
• Assist with delinquency tracking, renewals, and eviction coordination in partnership with onsite teams.
• Maintain accurate and timely records within Yardi and related property management systems.
• Prepare and distribute weekly and monthly operational and financial reports.
• Support financial reviews, including variance analysis, accruals, and reclasses.
• Monitor property performance metrics and identify trends or inconsistencies.
• Assist with acquisitions, onboarding processes, and ad hoc reporting requests.
• Identify process gaps and recommend practical improvements.
• Conduct periodic site visits to validate reporting accuracy and operational alignment.
• Maintain documentation, reporting templates, and scalable workflows to support portfolio growth.
