Mercury Insurance Services, LLC is seeking a Property Mid Loss Adjuster to investigate, evaluate, and settle moderate to complex homeowners claims from a home-based field position in California. The role involves travel up to 50% and requires strong knowledge of policy, Xactimate, and customer service.

The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, 4–8 years of industry experience, and be able to manage reserves and documentation with attention to detail.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 4 - 8 years of equivalent industry experience is preferred.
• Home-based field position with up to 50% travel and valid driver’s license required.
• Coverage primarily in: location (CA) and surrounding areas; some non-field claims in remote areas may be assigned.

Aufgaben

• Investigate moderate to complex Homeowners claims to confirm facts, origin and cause of loss.
• Address and handle all exposures of the claim, including Dwelling, Other Structures, Contents, Loss of Use.
• Review facts against policy to determine coverage and appropriate settlement.
• Inspect damages and document with photos, measurements, and repair estimates.
• Establish reserves within authority; escalate to supervisor for higher settlements.
• Maintain regular diary and monitor progress of ongoing claims.
• Provide exceptional service to customers throughout the claim process.
• Direct and review files handled by independent adjusters; assist in training property personnel.
