Mercury Insurance Co. is seeking a Property Mid Loss Adjuster to investigate, evaluate, and settle moderate to complex homeowners claims, including field inspections, with a focus on timely service.

This remote role requires up to 50% travel and a strong grasp of policy coverage, estimating, and regulatory standards. The position offers a competitive base salary, benefits, and relocation/telework flexibility.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsabilidades

• Investigate moderate to complex Homeowners claims to confirm facts, origin and cause of loss.
• Address and handle all exposures of the claim, including Dwelling, Other Structures, Contents, Loss of Use.
• Compare facts gathered during the investigation against policy to determine coverage of claim, extend or deny coverage as appropriate.
• Inspect and determine extent of damages, and document with photographs, measurements, repair estimate, and thorough log notes.
• Establish reserve amounts within prescribed settlement authority limit and negotiates settlement of claims; recommends claims which exceed personal authority limit to supervisor for approval.
• Maintain claims on a regular diary to monitor unresolved issues and exposures.
• Ensure exceptional service to customers; timely responses to calls, emails, and written communication, and adherence to Department of Insurance requirements.
• Directs, monitors, and reviews files handled by independent adjusters to conclusion.
• Assists in training property personnel.
