Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration/Management, Social Sciences, or related field.
• Two years of progressively responsible experience in low-income housing or leased housing, including supervision or managerial level.
• Knowledge of HUD rules and regulations related to property management.
• Ability to oversee and monitor required records (tenant files, vacancy reports, rent collections, recertifications, compliance documentation) and interpret policies.
• Minimum two years of management experience in public housing, HCV program, tax credit housing, or related fields.
• Ability to utilize property management software systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws related to low-income housing programs.
• Knowledge of public administration practices, business English, and basic mathematics.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to supervise, direct, and evaluate staff effectively.
• Ability to meet internal deadlines and program requirements.
• Ability to obtain bonding.
• Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one within a specified timeframe.
• Eligibility to be covered under the organization’s fleet auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee property inspections to ensure safety, code compliance, and proper maintenance.
• Monitor HUD performance scores and address deficiencies.
• Coordinate work orders and ensure timely completion of maintenance requests.
• Maintain occupancy, rent collection, and financial performance of properties.
• Prepare reports for audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.
• Supervise staff and site-based partners to ensure duties are performed properly.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in on-call duty as required.
• Collaborate with residents, staff, and stakeholders to maintain quality living environments.
