Job summary

Oakbrook Gardens Apartments seeks an experienced Property Manager to maximize occupancy and property values. You will lead a team, coordinate activities, and drive leasing and maintenance operations to meet owner expectations.

The role requires budget planning, marketing, resident relations, and compliance with housing laws. Normal hours are Mon–Fri with some weekends; on-site work is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 3 years in property management; 2 years as a manager.
• Supervision experience and track record of accomplishments.
• Background in budgeting, marketing, leasing and resident relations.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train and supervise on-site staff to achieve operational goals.
• Market and promote the property; show units to prospective residents.
• Approve or deny rental applications according to criteria.
• Keep lease files complete and ensure proper lease execution.
• Develop resident retention strategies and plans.
• Coordinate preventative maintenance and safety inspections.
• Prepare and monitor annual budgets with supervisor approval.
• Ensure rent collection and accurate financial records.
