Kohner Properties Inc - Oakbrook Gardens in Missouri is seeking an experienced Property Manager for a 280-unit garden-style community near I-55. You will lead leasing, marketing, maintenance coordination, and on-site staff supervision to maximize occupancy and property value.

The role requires strong knowledge of Fair Housing, safety compliance, budgeting, vendor management, and resident relations; on-site schedule with occasional weekends; valid driver’s license and proficiency in Yardi.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred; High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of all areas of property management including marketing, leasing, resident relations, physical property management, and personnel supervision.
• General computer knowledge; spreadsheet experience helpful.
• Experience with Yardi or similar property management software.

Responsibilities

• Conduct business per company policies and applicable laws, including Fair Housing and ADA regulations.
• Walk the property daily to ensure cleanliness and curb appeal.
• Market the property and promote leasing policies to prospective residents.
• Approve or deny rental applications per criteria and ensure lease files are complete.
• Hire, train, and supervise on-site staff and conduct performance reviews.
• Manage budgets and submit periodic reports to corporate.
• Coordinate with maintenance and vendors for timely turnovers and repairs.
• Maintain resident relations and respond to service requests and complaints.
