Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Community Manager in Pasadena, CA to manage day-to-day property operations, lead a large team, and drive occupancy and revenue targets. The role requires strong financial acumen, experience with Yardi/CRM, and adherence to housing regulations.

You will oversee budgeting, lease processing, vendor management, and resident relations while ensuring safety and standards across the property and its amenities. A Bachelor's degree is preferred, with 4–6 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business Management, Real Estate, or related field.
• 4-6 years minimum of relevant experience that demonstrates property management and operations.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and customer service skills.
• Detail-oriented and self-motivated with the ability to work independently, as a leader, and as a team member.

Responsibilities

• Provide input into budget development by analyzing financial statements and reports.
• Meet revenue targets by setting rents and collecting payments; prepare monthly financials.
• Approve invoices and manage vendor communications; ensure insurance certificates.
• Control expenditures within the approved budget and manage petty cash.
• Oversee lease enforcement, applications, renewals, notices and evictions as needed.
• Analyze market trends to support marketing and leasing strategies.
• Promote resident satisfaction by addressing complaints and service requests.
• Conduct regular property inspections to maintain safety and appearance.
• Supervise staff: hire, orient, train, and evaluate performance.
• Assist in managing owner relationships with updates and tours.
• Complete required accounting, financial, and administrative reports.
• California-specific lease process compliance.
