Job summary

VOA TEXAS is seeking a property management professional to lead day-to-day operations of our Dallas-Fort Worth property. You will hire, train, supervise, and evaluate staff, oversee bookkeeping, marketing, and lease preparation, and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.

The role requires 3+ years in property management, knowledge of HUD/Section 8 rules, and may require on-site living. A Texas driver’s license and insurance are needed to manage site operations and resident relations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required and three years' experience in property management.
• OR Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred and three years' experience in property management.
• Demonstrated knowledge of HUD, Section 8, 202, 811, LIHTC and conventional properties.

Responsibilities

• Hires, trains, supervises, evaluates, and disciplines all staff.
• Manages the property office staff and/or functions, ensuring that bookkeeping, marketing, and lease preparations are performed as required.
• Supervises social service coordinator and function.
• Assists in budget preparation for the property.
• Markets the property in accordance with Fair Housing and the management agent's guidelines.
• Submits reports as required by the management agent or mandated by the federal, state or local government.
• Maintains office files for all business and financial records, as well as properly crediting the computer and properly depositing all monies received.
• Inspects property daily to ensure building and grounds are properly maintained and take or suggest any actions needed for repair.
• Responds to all resident requests and complaints.

Day-To-Day:
