Job summary

Volunteers of America Texas in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a full-time Property Manager to hire, train, and supervise staff, oversee bookkeeping, marketing, and lease preparations, and ensure regulatory compliance. The role involves on-site supervision, budget support, and daily property maintenance.

You will manage staff, coordinate with the management agent, submit required reports, and respond to resident needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; 3 years' property management experience
• Bachelor's degree in a related field; 2 years' property management experience
• Knowledge of HUD, Section 8, 202, 811, LIHTC and conventional properties
• May be required to live on site
• Valid driver's license and ability to be insured

Responsibilities

• Hires, trains, supervises, evaluates, and disciplines all staff.
• Manages the property office staff and/or functions, ensuring bookkeeping, marketing, and lease preparations are performed as required.
• Supervises social service coordinator and function.
• Assists in budget preparation for the property.
• Markets the property in accordance with Fair Housing and the management agent's guidelines.
• Submits reports as required by the management agent or government authorities.
• Maintains office files for all business and financial records and deposits monies received.
• Inspects property daily to ensure maintenance and repair as needed.
• Responds to resident requests and complaints.

Day to Day:

• Hires, trains, supervises, evaluates, and disciplines all staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required and three years' experience in property management. OR Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred and two years' experience in property managementDemonstrated knowledge of regulations, acts, guidelines, etc. pertaining to HUD, Section 8, 202, 811, LIHTC and conventional properties.
• May be required to live on site.
• Valid driver's license and ability to be insured
